Hydroseeding

Hydroseeding

Hydroseeding is a germination technique with a spraying method. This method that has been used in the USA since 1950’s and offers many advantages compared to other sodding methods. It is used on sloped areas, creating a protective cover against wind and water erosion by covering up the surface of the soil.

Hydroseeding is carried out by means of spraying a mixture (made of seeds, fertilizer, mulch and binders etc. with water) on the soil surface to the form of a thin layer. The main target is to create an environment for the seeds to sprout out and grow on unsuitable surfaces. Since the mixture is homogenously prepared in the machine and sprayed on a convenient surface, a speed and uniform germination is guaranteed.
