In the Greenox Project, where Turkey's first Vertical Forest was created, unlike other projects, the concepts of green wall/green facade/green facade/green area/green roof were all implemented in the same project. In order to realize this ambitious project in terms of landscape application, the project was designed by working together with architectural, static and mechanical project groups from the first stage of the project, and by evaluating the location, height, view, climatology and floristic data in detail.
Turkey's highest green walls (50m and 56m high) were created in the Greenox Project and the north and south facades were greened with 20,180 plants. A total of 3,330 trees, shrubs, shrubs and ground cover plants were used in large planters planned on the front and rear facades of the building and on the terrace.
The Greenox Project, planned as a LEED Gold candidate, won the “Turkey's Greenest Building” award at the Sign of the City Awards competition organized by Hürriyet Newspaper in 2017.
The Greenox project was selected as a pilot project of the EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) system by the World Bank organization IFC, and was awarded the EDGE green building certificate after the completion of the project, by achieving 35 percent efficiency in energy, 42 percent efficiency in water and 41 percent efficiency in embedded energy in materials compared to a standard building, regardless of the benefits provided to the environment and residents by the plants on all facades.
